Brown water, that means your tank is rusting out and you need a new tank. A sulfur smell usually means you have an anode rod out, which can typically be replaced unless your water heater is very old.
We’ve seen installs where the plumber used flex lines for the temperature and pressure. We wouldn’t do that because it’s a cheap, inefficient shortcut. We like our work to look good and work well. We will do the job to code the first time, and we will leave it looking nice.
When to Switch to a High-Efficency Water Heater
It doesn’t take as much time to show you how having a modern water heater saves you money. They heat faster, which means you’re not burning as much gas to heat them.
However, they’re very loud. We do not recommend them unless it’s a commercial setting where it doesn’t matter. We never recommend putting one of them in your house
